1. 1042-S Email Template
A new default email template is now available to notify recipients when their 1042-S form has been generated and is available in their Calculus profile. Read more about it here
2. 1042-S Email Status
Admins can now track whether 1042-S emails have been successfully sent to recipients with Filters and Views. Read more about it here.
3. Tax Treaty Update
Announcement 2025-5 confirms the temporary suspension of a specific provision within the 1973 US-USSR tax treaty, affecting certain types of interest payments related to Belarus. This change, effective from December 17, 2024, through December 31, 2026 (or earlier if mutually agreed), is unlikely to impact higher education, research, or healthcare organizations. Please note, this is separate to the US-Russia Tax Treaty which was suspended on August 16th.
