Users, Individual Vendors, and Entity Vendors separation within Sprintax Calculus

Sprintax Calculus maintains separate records for the following end-user subcategories:

1. "Users"

Within Sprintax Calculus, the term "User" refers to foreign individuals who may hold various immigration statuses, including,  but not limited to, students, exchange visitors, tourist or transit visitors, and individuals with other special statuses. Generally, most visas in this category are issued for a specific primary purpose of stay.

2. "Vendor - Individuals"

Individual Vendors (Vendor - Individuals) are foreign individuals engaged strictly as vendors who receive Accounts Payable (AP) payments for services, business activities, royalties, and similar payments.

This category also includes foreign entities wholly owned by a single foreign individual (disregarded entities).
This list does not accommodate immigration-related processing required for individuals whose visa status may affect payment eligibility.

3. "Vendor - Entities"

Vendor Entities (Corporate Vendors) are foreign legal entities, that are not individuals. These include, but are not limited to, foreign corporations, partnerships, and other multi-member organizations.

Important: If incidental payments to non-vendor visitors occur (such as honoraria payment to a J-1 exchange visitor),  the individual should be registered in "Users" rather than "Vendors - Individuals" list.
