We are excited to announce the release of several new system updates.
This release includes updates and enhancements across the following areas:
- Export Selected 1042-S Forms Data to CSV
- Amended Forms Section
- MFA Guide Updates
- Vendor Type Validation Warning
1. Export Selected 1042-S Forms Data to CSV
Admins can now export a complete list of 1042-S forms within a selected submission, including all associated data fields.
- Navigate to: 1042-S List → Actions → View Submission History → View Details (eye icon)
- Select “Export to CSV” under “Forms in This Submission”
What’s included in the export:
- All forms within the submission
- All corresponding data columns
- Error details for applicable forms
Additionally:
- Error details for individual forms can now be downloaded directly from the Error Codes column.
2. New “Amended Forms” Section
A new pre-set section, “Amended Forms”, has been added to the 1042-S list.
- Automatically displays all amended forms created by your institution
- Provides a centralized view for easier tracking and management
3. Updated MFA Guide
The Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Guide has been updated for clarity and accuracy.
- Available via:
- “How can we help?” side panel on a User’s profile
- Contact Sprintax
- “?” icon in the Users account
What’s improved:
- Clearer step-by-step instructions
- Updated information reflecting the latest MFA processes (through an authenticator app and through SMS)
4. Vendor Type Validation Warning
To prevent reporting discrepancies, a new validation message has been introduced in vendor navigation.
When it appears:
- If 1042-S forms have already been added for one vendor type
- And the vendor type is then changed (e.g., Individual → Entity)
Key behavior:
- Existing 1042-S forms remain linked to the record
- Users must delete these forms before proceeding
- Navigation is blocked until the forms are removed
