Sprintax is introducing a more secure authentication method!
Instead of multiple entry points, both administrators and end users can now access Calculus using the same URL: https://calculus.sprintax.com
For SSO users, please click the Login button, and then select the Campus button.
All existing accounts (email, password, MFA) will be transferred seamlessly.
This enhancement aligns Calculus with best practices in identity and access management and supports stronger protection of sensitive data, while keeping day-to-day workflows familiar.
Key Benefits of the New Login Experience
- Enhanced security across Calculus and other Sprintax products
- Consistent authentication for admins and users through a centralized identity platform
- Improved account protection with modern safeguards, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Please note, if you have already configured MFA, there are no additional steps you need to perform. Your MFA setup is retained!

- A More Secure, Unified Login Experience
- All Calculus admins and users who are using email and password login are now authenticated through a single, centralized identity system, shared across Sprintax products.
- Existing accounts transition automatically, no re-registration or re-verification required.
- The first time you access the new centralized login page, you will be asked to confirm your name and email address. You will then log-in as you normally would.

- Clearer and More Consistent SSO Access
- Calculus admins and users signing in with Single Sign-On (SSO) will now start from a dedicated institution-selection page.
- Searching for and selecting your institution ensures users are always routed to the correct login provider.

Benefit: A clearer, more intuitive SSO flow that reduces confusion and misdirected login attempts.

- Stronger Protection of User Email and Identity
- Each email address is now uniquely tied to a single identity record.
- This prevents accidental account overlap and ensures users only ever access their own data.
Benefit: Significantly enhanced data protection and reduced risk of unauthorized access.
- More Control for Users Over Their Own Accounts
- Users can manage and confirm alternative email addresses directly within their Identity Server profile.
- This creates a clear, auditable process for email updates and account continuity.
Change for Admins: In order for the email address linked to a Calculus user profile to be updated, the user must first confirm their new email in their Identity Server profile. The admin can then update the email address through the usual method from the left-hand side menu in Calculus.
Benefit: Users gain greater ownership of their account access, with fewer long-term issues if emails change.
- Seamless Access Across Institutions and Products
- Users with multiple affiliations (e.g., multiple schools or Sprintax products) authenticate through one secure identity.
- Forms and Returns access and branding remain unchanged.
Benefit: A more consistent experience as users move between institutions or Sprintax services.
- Improved Admin Profile Standardization
- On first login to the new Identity Server, administrators may be prompted to separate their name into first and last name fields (previously stored as a single field).
- This is a one-time update and takes only a moment to complete.
Benefit: More consistent admin profile data across the platform, supporting clearer identification, improved auditing, and better long-term system reliability.
