A: The system does not indicate 'Amended' on a user profile as a user may have multiple 1042-S forms of the same income code that have not been amended.
Administrators will need to open the PDF file for the individual to identify whether a 1042-S form has been amended by looking at the 'Amended' checkbox, along with the 'Amendment No' on the 1042-S form itself.
Another way to identify the amended 1042-S forms is by exporting the forms in CSV format.
1. Login to your Calculus Account.
2. On the left side menu, click on Users Tab.
3. Click on 1042-S button and a side panel will open.
4. Click on Export button and a pop up will appear.
5. Select the CSV file format
6. Once the file is downloaded, open it up on your computer.
If column D ('Amendment') on that export shows the value 'Yes', this means that the respective 1042-S form is an amended one.
Column E ('Amendment Number') will show the relevant amendment number that is also populated on the PDF itself.
