The Audit Log is designed to give administrators the ability to review changes, updates or edits made by individual's to their Sprintax profile.
Any changes made by a user to their profile will prompt a notification and review pending.
Enable the Audit Log
1. Contact your Account Manager or Tax Specialist to request enabling the Audit Log for your institution.
2. The Audit Log will be activated within 3-5 business days from request date.
Access the Audit Log
Once the audit log is enabled, you have 2 options on viewing the change log.
1. Login to your Calculus Account.
2. On the left-hand side, click on Users tab.
3. Select All Accounts.
4. The third column 'Edited by User' will display 'Yes or No' if changes have been made.
5. The column also displays 'Approved or Rejected' if those changes have been approved or rejected by an administrator.
Another way to view the change log:
1. Login to your Calculus Account.
2. On the left-hand side, click on Users Tab.
3. Select Review Users Pending Changes.
This view will display a list of users who have made changes to their profile and need review.
View Changes
1. Click on the record that is marked, Yes Review, to see what values have been changed.
2. Administrators can Approve, Reject or Postpone the changes made to the record.
Approved: This means the data has been reviewed and verified by the administrator. The data changes will be applied to the profile.
Reject: This means the data has been reviewed and not accepted by the administrator. The data changes will not be applied to the record, and it will be restored with its original values.
Postpone: This means the administrator will review the changes at a later point. The 'Edited by User' column will maintain the Yes Review status.
3. Administrators can click on the Download button to maintain a PDF copy of the changes made.
Bulk Approve or Reject Changes
1. Select the users that have a review pending.
2. Click on the Actions button.
3. A side panel will open.
4. Scroll down to options to Approve or Reject the changes.
Change Notifications
Administrators should set web or email notifications so the system will automatically notify you of changes made to a record and its status.
