Administrators can select income types applicable to their Institution.
These income types will be available for Foreign Nationals to select from while completing their questionnaire. Each income type can include additional descriptions which allows users to easily identify which income codes they have received payments for. Administrators also have the option to grant permission for individuals to deselect income types that are not applicable to them.
Set Income Codes
1. Login to your administrator account.
2. Navigate to the Settings tab on the left-hand side.
3. Click on Individual Income Settings.
4. Select the relevant income types you expect to pay foreign nationals.
You can add a description and an example to each income code selected to help your foreign nationals understand their payment type.
Important: By selecting income types, individuals will see them pre-selected on their questionnaire on the Tax Forms Info page.
5. You can give permission for individuals to de-select income codes, by clicking the de-select option.
Important: If no income types are initially selected, foreign nationals will see a list of all supported income types on the Tax Forms Info screen. Options will not be pre-selected, allowing users to manually select relevant income types and trigger related questions.
6. Regarding Income code 16, if the option for all scholarships being non-compensatory is selected, the foreign national questionnaire about whether their scholarships are compensatory will automatically show "No" for all selections, and they will not be able to alter this choice.
Once you set the Individual Income Settings, click Save on the top right corner.
